Arrabona Institut, s.r.o. is an independent publishing house and research platform focused on the history, language, and cultural interactions of Central and Southern Europe. We integrate scholarly research, editorial work, and public outreach with the aim of making key historical sources accessible to a broader audience.
Research
We work with original sources in Italian, Spanish, and other languages, which we analyze, translate, and interpret within a broader historical context.
Publishing Activities
We publish both academic and popular works focused on the history, language, and culture of Central and Southern Europe. Our publishing program includes critical editions of historical texts, translations of primary sources, and original works based on long-term research.
Public Engagement and Education
We organize lectures, seminars, and guided tours that present historical topics to both the general public and specialist audiences.
Our first long-term project is dedicated to the Habsburg–Ottoman wars of the early modern period, with particular emphasis on the so-called Fifteen Years' War (1591–1606). We focus on the systematic processing and translation of contemporary sources and their interpretation within the context of Central European history.
