New Publication Presentation
Kaleidoscope of the Long War with the Turk presents the Fifteen Years' War (1591–1606) through a curated selection of authentic contemporary sources—diplomatic reports, chronicles, and personal testimonies. Rather than offering a continuous historical narrative, it provides the reader with a mosaic of diverse voices that capture the conflict from the perspective of its contemporaries.
The book illuminates not only military and political events, but also the everyday experience of war, the functioning of early modern diplomacy, and contemporary news reporting, which constituted one of the earliest forms of European "media" communication. The publication is intended for both a general readership with an interest in history and for specialists; thanks to carefully crafted translations of primary sources, it remains accessible even without prior knowledge of the subject.
